I do, I have 5 People that I deal with throughout the year, they are super people, and are very helpful and give excellent customer service. So I wrap up some small tokens of appreciation, that I will deliver tomorrow. Just to say thanks for all your help.

Maybe I’m the outlier. But we don’t tend to do this. We live in a county of 850,000 population. That’s a lot of people getting deliveries every day. For the most part, we don’t have the same delivery person two deliveries in a row…. Let alone consistently. And that holds true for UPS, FedEx, Amazon. I’m not even sure the USPS driver is always the same.

We did a trip to the SF Bay Area over Thanksgiving week. Tuesday night we ate at a small restaurant across the parking lot. No crowds and great service from a young, 20 something gal. Gave her a 20% tip. On Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving) the wife was not hungry, so I went back there alone. Had a fantastic tri tip meal, same server. Gave her a 20% tip on the bill. As I was walking out I slipped her a folded up $100 bill and said “get your family something nice for tomorrow”. I think I made her day. :)

Pretty much give free car unlocks through out the year when the heart knows they have no money, What messes my mind up is its usually the struggling that try to tip vs others.

My fav thing to do, is absolutely pray on the spot with anybody who wants to. Amazing the moments that have happened over the years.

I’m confused. You go to unlock peoples cars, and then offer to pray with them?

We used to have a mail lady 6 days a week delivering our mail. She delivered within +/- 10 minutes shortly before noontime every day. Tipping her at this time of year was a pleasure. She retired. And that's when everything changed. USPS shifted gears by using drivers from other towns. No consistency in delivery time or drivers...except for one guy who delivers the mail 3 days out of 6. He's not very friendly, he's a reckless driver, and he doesn't listen.

So.....NO tip.

Boy do I get that. Doesn't happen a lot, but enough to be frustrating to walk out to the mailbox and find it open.

The little rural town in Western Illinois that we moved from still uses mail carriers that walk the town routes. Mail boxes are on the side of the house by the front door. Not on a post by the street. Being a small town, we knew the mail carriers. Went to the same church as some of them. That kinda stuff. We're more rural where we live now. Mailbox sits on a post along the street. Very impersonal.

We do have one UPS driver that is fairly consistent as a delivery driver. He always remembers we have a pooch and will have a treat in his pocket when he comes to the door or she greets him outside. The FedEx drivers run back to their truck if they see our dog is outside. The only way our pooch will hurt anyone is if she pounds you with her tail.
