Robben Ford on Dumble Amplifiers

Big fan of Robben and respect his opinion, but I've plugged into two different ODS's in my time and was pretty underwhelmed, not even factoring in the pure ignorance of the prices. There were Mesa's and Marshalls in the same room with the Dumbles that I felt walked all over them and at prices a normal human could afford. I think it's great that a handful of guys get "their" tone out of their Dumbles. I am also sick and tired of the guitar universe trying to convince everyone that they are the holy grail, whether you think so or not. Same shite as with the burst morons trying to convince everyone that the only guitars worth playing were built between 1958 and 1960. Meh.

This one hits so close to my heart when I hear SRV Live! Don't know if that sound is 100% Dumple amps, though. SRV would have multiple amps on stage as his sound. Mix it up with Fenders and Marshalls, too. Sorry... no Peaveys... :run:

Plus: there is no substitute for volume. SRV played at a very loud stage volume. And that's what that video from 67plexi just posted represents really well.
