Amazing afternoon, finding this 5 miles away from a trusted source. Some trading & funds and all things needed in 1 large box. It is a Mike Audette built 100 Watt Superlead R/T. remember Him on MF few years ago. Really dug his mods & somehow one em has landed. Try to explain best i can

Based on 1968 SL 100 watt circuit
Effects loop
Pull out boost on chan 1 for gain boost(it's clear oh yes it is)
PPIMV
run on 50 or 100 Watts
High and low gain voicing
Fizz switch( seems to tame or brighten higher freq)
Can be ran 3 dif ways, 68 Plexi stock or switch to R/T mod(brown) or switch to Super Bass ( i dig this with a Boss SD1 kerrang in a JCM 2203 type way but more note definition-serious gut punch
It is dead quiet, You can hear the note definition , i actually have never heard my guitars like this before, since maybe back to my JMP clone days
What you feel on your attack is what this amp will produce. It is scary actually how vulnerable your playing has to be, no room for error or you will hear. It brings out the player vs the fizz covering up sloppy
What is really crazy it will play at whisper levels and sound totally full. Amazing
Actually stunned, been watching JCM 800 & Plexi videos for months now. This is my tone for for non downtune super heavy. It is really hard to play the JVM after this, Yes the JVM is nastier, its a very good amp, especially to gig but if you are a feel response player its not even close.
Crappy pic of in the room, some previous pics, will take better pics tomorrow

HNAD, that's a killer !!!
Thank you, cant even explain how much it is going to influence this next batch of songs. I like the JVM410h, great amp but the Plexi modded right from my experience. There is note separation, bloom, and full percussive punch. It replaces my gain trying be heavy.

I think going back last few weeks, and i dont listen much to music because how busy we are in band. Revisted AIC, JP, Scorpians, even the hair stuff, Ratt, Dokken, Skid Row,those modded Marshalls just bring something modern gain doesn't to me. maybe I am dating myself, but Thinking of Like 1975 to 1985 as a early teen, it was all Marshall,

In my early teens it was all Traynor amps mid life was large Fender amps and now in my golden years I'm back to Traynor amps again :D

I remember Mike R/T was doing the "one wire mod" back on MetroAmp.

His mods sounded more open - less compressed. It's a good tone.

So the midshift resistor switched 33K 68, 56K SL, 47K SB.
Hey maybe that is what is actually is. Me, only know the feel & tone explanation. Wish i knew amp building.

my observation

68 = full, percussive, decent gain, nice lead tone , thick
R/T - saturated quicker , more gain, harmonics quick, slightly more treble on a lead tone, more distortion on chords than 68, lil lower volume thn others, but more forward prescence
SB- Full. rounder, crazy good on strat for normal music. very good going heavy with a pedal, reminds me of 2203 with a pedal

I remember Michael R/T from the MF.
Those were cool mods he did for friends and I think customers, he and New Religion were the mod kings over there.
@new religion is a member here as well.
