It’s the first noise gate for me. I'm don’t care for the plugins in the DAW but I got it for the amps obviously.

Funny thing is , yesterday was the day we had our electric meter service moved, the power was shut off most of the day.

I gave one for a cheap NG but it is quite picky the difference between cutting noise and reducing output, depending on the amp. If it is high gain and a hit hissy and maybe some fx hum or such, have to be careful. The one on the Zoom G3 seems to work better IMO but it is nice to have one for up front.

I have it, sitting. I have not played much lately.
Retiring has made me busy outside doing the things I neglected for so long.

I bought a used Rocktron recently. It's a noise reduction rather than noise gate, and works really well.

Cranked Marshals can have a pretty good hum. I guess it depends on your power source.

I would like to try a known good one to see if it’s proper. Mine seems like it works intermittently.
