The spring and summer! It was a hot summer and dry with a bit of rain in between mainly after dark, it was the best camping and flying year i have had , outdoing the last 3 years. The weather was hott with light winds at about 10 MPH, it was just great for slowing the plane down for landings , couldn't have been better. I logged 60 flights, burnt up 4 gallons of Nitro, alcohol with synthetic oil mix at a price of $50 bucks a gallon. Last year paid $28 a gallon, but thanks to you know who's, tariffs, it jacked the price up . I had one small incident on my last flight, engine quit, had to glide her down flared her out as much as i could , wasn't sure if i would make it back to the runway, well was just short by 30 feet, had to put her down in the 3 foot beans. went over to pick her up muffler came loose, that's why the engine quit, the beans wrapped around the landing gear, pulled it right out , there was no damage to the structure around the landing block, just popped out, that was good, and to my surprise no damage whatsoever to the rest of the plane, not bad for coming in about 30 mph. I came home that day a happy camper, I already have the landing gear put back in 1 hour job, now just need to bolt the muffler back on and ready to go! I will send some pics when my camera charges up.

Was a very good year playing for my local friends ,and some new comers to the campground, always a blast. Hoping next year will be a repeat weather wise. Good to be back home now, working on a couple of new songs, I've got a feeling the Beatles, and Joe Walsh , In the city. Hope everyone had a good summer Rock On!

Now I wanna do In The City with my band...

I did quadcopters for a few years, and then the rules got ridiculous

Had to write exam Transport Canada
Planes are registered and numbered
all flights are logged, time, date, how long the flights are
Papers must be with you at all times.

I get it! there have been those guys out there flying around airports, there have been near misses with full size aircraft. I belong to a sanctioned field. We have always followed the rules. But you always get some of those who don't think or care about others.

My dad flew RC. I don't remember the circumstances. May have been a dead stick landing.... but he strained his plane thru a fence. Engine ended up on one side of the fence. The rest laid in a heap on the other side of the fence. Was able to save the engine and electronics. The rest was a right off.

This is how my first flight ended. Circa 1978.
