The Muse I Adorn

I came real close to buying a Hugger Orange 69 Z28 about 20 years ago. This one is sweet looking too !
Way back in the mid 80s I really was lusting for a 1969 Z28. Back then you could get a very good one for about $3500. Fairly newly married (1978) + 2 kids = No money. By the time I had some disposable income, even a moderately decent Z was 10 times that. Needless to say, no Z28 for me. I did come up with a 77 Vette in 99. Didn't pay a lot for it. Nothing collectible about a 77 Vette, so even though it was pretty much all original.... for me it was a driver.

I don’t know much about after the first gen, 67-69. I good friend had a 70 Z28. But this is another good looking car !
I was a snot nosed high schooler in 69. First gen are my favorite years with the 69s being my favorite. But then. Almost any 69 muscle or pony car are my favorites. Regardless brand.

Today was Brown Guitar day. This is the SAGA kit guitar I purchased already built and finished. Dude painted it an ugly orange and with a paint brush. Streaks and all. I sanded it down to bare wood. Stained and cleared it. Only things I've changed is the bridge for thru body string mounting. Installed a 4-Way switch and replaced the neck pup after I killed it. For what in essence is the least expensive guitar I have in the house.... it don't sound or play too bad.

It's technically a 1970 but can also be a 70 1/2 due to it not coming out till Feb '70. Kind of like the 64 1/2 Mustangs came out late.

Did I mention it is O-range?

Back to 6 strings tonight…2003 Gibson Crescent Moon V, Well-Hung Old Glory strap, Stetsbar….Joyous!!!View attachment 106941
Just took a close look at my favorite V there of yours Bdon. That neck pickup ALMOST looked like a Tarback with rounded corners on the cover, until I zoomed in to see the pole pieces in the center. Did we sneak an interesting unusual pup in there?

It’s a Manlius Fat Goat Vintage Hot in the neck position on both of my Crescent Moon Gibsons.
