Didn't Gibson use one bridge and two neck pickups on this model???

Im using one 52mm bridge and two 50mm neck pickups on my Destroyer.

Correct?

I'm not so sure that there is really a right or wrong where triple pickups are concerned.
I've gone both ways.
My last two conversions used a pair of bridge pickups and one neck pickup.
My thoughts were as a bridge pickup is usually hotter, that way the middle pickup would have a little more definition when engaged.

This is one gorgeous animal, Ray...
Love the fact that you can see the grain running top to bottom and the flame from side to side.

Thanks! It is very versatile too. The bridge splits and I wired it so the pull volume adds the bridge for 11 sounds on a 5 way blade. The flame does not extend to the horns, but that led me to a sick deal on this one.

In my case, with my custom made pickups, my bridge is 17.1k and my two necks are 15.88k.

So anything that is not hot will get overpowered. Just use 3 bridge pups!

I considered that...but after playing the 12.6k/12.6k/6.8k current Wilkinson configuration, it sounds very smooth and balanced, so I thought this 17k/15k/15k combo might be a good one...I was mostly concerned with the string spacing being good..

Interesting point...I feel like having a 7.8k in the neck and a 15k in the bridge is too great a jump...IMHOA
