Today I took the new natural V to practice. I friggin love that guitar!

Practice tonight, I used the BFG. Always sounds great, no matter which amp or set of speakers I am plugged into.

So last I picked up a guitar was before we went to Italy middle of June. Tonight I changed that. It was a red guitar sort of night. A little rusty. Didn’t push the lack of callouses to hard. Will need to rebuild those.

I put some Aquila Thunderbrown strings on my U-Bass yesterday. I bought it used. It had some really old round wounds on it. I have another micro bass, a Cordoba Mini II with round wounds that I like better so I thought I'd try some of the rubber strings. The rubber strings are much thicker so I'd have to do some modifications, a new nut, and drill out the string through holes in the bridge. After some research I found that Aquila had developed the Thunderbrowns whish didn't require a new nut. I installed them yesterday. I did have to ream out the string through holes a bit but the nut was fine. I love the tone and find them very playable. They get a sort of stand up bass tone. very happy with the new strings.

I have a clone of an Ibanez Super70 pickup in the bridge (HighOrder pickups)

The neck is the old-school Dean soft V neck profile, with a volute at the headstock.

played my 2000 Gibson Explorer LE it has a massive fat neck I put a early set of Gibson Pat # pickups it rocks

I realized the other day that I haven't played a normal Tele with my Origin yet, so I stole the neck from my other Warmoth T-style (has HBs so not a Tele) and got this one up and running again. It's been fun and something different.
