New Gibson Dark Series

These are not part of the walnut series? What are they? LP is sort of a Deluxe...?
It’s more of a Mini-Hum-Special…with a wrap-tail. That’s why I keep calling mine a Wannabe-Special-ish. IIRC the “Specials” (at least the LPs) have tune-o-matics/bridge and stoptails.

Edit…not always….but the era I remember most clearly.

Yeah not sure where this fits in. Wrap tail, minis, no binding like a special. Can't find that series. Not that I want, I have my Deluxe

Yeah…the mini-hums are unusual…unless installed aftermarket. They fit in a P-90 route. They, more often came with either P-90, or full sized humbucker, pickups. Most of the full sized humbucker models I ever bumped into had the tune-o-matic setup.
If you search Reverb for Les Paul Specials, you’ll see what I mean…it’s a mixed bag. Lately it’s been wraparound…more often.

It would be amazing to own one.
It's a nice looking Special with the dark tobacco burst, for sure.
Keep in mind, any P90 Special like @Thatbastarddon 's could be swapped to mini-hums.
They are interchangeable pup routs.

I went the opposite way on my Deluxe gold top.
The mini's always seemed thin and bright sounding in that guitar (imo).
Standard Gibson P90's were way too noisy in my environment, so I put in some Kent Armstrong stealth's.

I think the mini humbucker will work.
When I listen to single guitar track or even isolated tracks, they always sound to bright but the mix seems to smooth out that bright sound.
