My brand new Gretsch Electromatic Sparkle Jet. Aint had gas for a guitar really till i seen this thing on Sweetwaters site. Sounds amazing,plays amazingly easy,Fit and finish are flawless. Im impressed.love the darn thimg.First Gretsch i ever owned

Took the pic guard off.Much better.to pretty to hide.i have a Tone pros roller bridge and Grover mini locking tuners ordered for it. Theres nothing on this guitar that actually needs upgraded.these are just personall touchs.

It was stock with 2 P90's one piece body and neck got it when I was 14 years old

Ah, I thought the '54 reissues had the staple pickup and the '56 reissues had a regular P90 at the neck.
Must be the other way round.

I bought one with the staple in '73, all mahog with a beautifully honky bridge tone and a singing neck voice.
Sadly, it was stolen. I pined for that guitar for decades until I got a replacement.

I got my Les Paul Custom in 1973 also a music store close to my grandmothers house in 1977 my car was stolen and my guitar and amp
when my car was found it was empty 1985 my stepfather called and said they found my guitar he was the in the sheriff's department
damage serial number gone brass nut refret and bridge replaced and beat up it was mint when stolen
I never bonded with it after that feels like a rape victim it sure could be a 1956 RI the pots date 1972
