Had to go back and listen to this a couple times.

The biggest things to that tone are the amp settings, and the blend of the two speakers and how they're mic'ed.

Good thing that beast goes to eleven! Is the unlabeled control, a resonance/depth control? I like the cab, too!
I added the resonance control, and a couple of other mods to the amp when I built it..

I consciously omitted the effects loop that came with the kit, and instead I used that little daughter-board to construct a two-frequency gyrator circuit.

I'm kind of afraid to know what this does... :hide:
It's an active filter.

When I first joined MetroAmp forum in 2004 and asked for help modding a Laney AOR 100, Steve (SDM) sort of became my mentor for about the next 10 years.. helping me via email.

At one point I had an idea about an active filter circuit (using a gyrator) that you could build into an amp, and for the first time, Steve got real cagey about answering my questions. He finally said he was working on the same thing, but it was proprietary and he couldn't help me or talk about that subject.
