Nice choice of OT. These are from the era when Marshall were using their best OT's. Does it have the 8, 16 ohm & 100V secondaries like the originals, or is it a 4, 8 & 16 ohm adaptation? I also like the choice of low filtering from the screens forward. Look forward to seeing pics etc of the completed build.A amp I'm finishing off Dumble ODS meets Marshall 1966 JTM 45/100 a clone of a Drake 1202-84 output transformer
my friend Robert engineered for Greg Germino used on his Monterey 100 amp think Clapton Cream early Hendrix and early AC/DC.
I used a Carvin X100B power transformer it was free. Went 110uf on B+1 filter then 16.5uf on B+2 through B+5.
I had to mount the OPT on it's side massive 2.25" thick.

I'd like to see more of this amp. KT66 or EL34 variant? Love the logos too.I recently built a Super100 JH clone (center) that sounds truly marvelous with my favorite Strat.

Id like to see more of this amp too. You really should be putting it through its paces on a regular basis, they are great sounding amps (great touch sensitivity too). Here's my "Black flag" JTM50 build, the last build I did (sorry for the low quality pics),The bottom is a JTM50 I built last year and (shamefully) have yet to really try it out. I've been on an amp building binge with the generous help of my Amp Godz (CoyotesGator and T-Rex).

Damn, Mr Plexi67, where do you find these gems? I'm rarely that lucky, though I was lucky enough to score a duet of NOS (Valvo branded) matching date code (3rd week October 1962) Blackburn Mullard dual getters xf2 EL34's for my upcoming JMP50 build.Speaking of JTM50 look what I have for my next project.
784-139 NOS OPT and a 1968 1202-118 PT.

I hope I'm responding to the proper question. I have Mullard KT66's in all my builds, with the exception of my 2204 which are Mullard EL34's. Beautiful wiring on the builds above. My gut shots aren't so pretty, but they all work, are quiet, and sound great. I'm still adjusting to retirement and need to plan out my days for more practice and give these amps the attention they deserve.[/QUOTE]Nice choice of OT. I really need to come up with a logo design for my builds.

I had a Code 50. Sounded OK but I HATED that everything was a preset. You couldn't just set it like an amp without saving it as a preset, if you ever switch it away.Since I got it about 6 weeks ago, this has been number 1 (but we all know how fast that ranking can change):

And some won't believe it, but my main amp for the past 6 months or so has been one of these (not my photo):

Yup, a Marshall Code 50. I have been loving the fact that it is so simple to use, is so versatile, I don't need a pedalboard, and it sounds exactly like a "real" Marshall.
I haven't fired up one of my tube amps since maybe around the holidays![]()
