Well well - a Surprise sort of New Guitar day!!

I had my eye on one of these for a bit - I like relatively rarities as well as just plain good guitars. Alex Lifeson Custom Shop Axcess.
Only 200 produced

Now many of you are probably saying "A FR whammy bar on a Les Paul??? Atrocious! Sacrilege!"

Is it sacrilege? Probably.

However, I do have a "couple" other stop tail Les Pauls to use as well

The BIGGIE to me is the built in piezo pickup! Acoustic sounds or electric. Mix out to amp and combine sounds or run acoustic to FOH board.
Has the nice modern high fret access but still a regular depth body unlike the Bengal Burst Modern.

I love the way the flame varies depending on angle. on the upper bout (bottom left of shot) you can see the nice wood grain of top under flame.
Like Campbell's soups, it is MM mm good.

I love those guitars. Perfect guitar to have a Floyd on. People dont like the floyd,buy a Lester with out it. Im old and on SS so id have to get the Epiphone version. Its not real cheap either but would be good enough for me. Congrats Jethro nice guitar.

No issue with the Floyd. Good enough for Lerxst, good enough for me. That's a great score man, love it.

I would have but they don't make these anymore so I hadda get used. Plus the Epi is missing the one biggie, the piezo pickup.

I normally like a pickguard, however... with the really nice wood flame there right by where the guard would be... I prefer some without. The Bengal Modern Axcess is better without too.

Push pull on master tone pot. Other tone pot is the piezo volume

Oh it's different for sure. If I didn't have lots of other LPs it would be a weirdo guitar.
