Been using Fender Mediums since somewhere back in the early 80s. They just feel right.

Robben Ford uses the same ones, but he turns it around and picks with the round end.

I’ve tried that. Didn’t like it. Oddly, I felt it also changed the tone of the pick attack. Softened it for lack of a better term. However….. I did use the same pick on my Ovation for many years and the pointy end radius was getting much rounder and less pointy.

You’re right about the tonal change. That’s why he does it.
