DAMN GIBSON! DAMN BIDDLIN!

$179 won't hold water for the tuners, one can never get new retail value for used, every good Ferengi knows that.
Goo has em' for sale for $60.
But it's still a great deal for one hell of a nice guitar.
Well Gents I am quoting RETAIL NEW pricing
Tronical Tune - Gibson Les Paul Junior - autotunes your guitar in seconds

Of course no one pays that ----BUT that is what the WEBSITE says they are "worth"

We can shave hairs all day long --- the sum of the parts on these Jr's are worth a good bit more than the price paid by me Goo or Chas....thats all I am pointing out.

These are fantastic guitars and I love them too, but would you like it just as much and feel happy at the original price point?

I would like it as much--- but would have buyers remorse for certain--- Id have to sell off a couple others to "justify it" --- but honestly that is why I hadnt purchased one rpeviously--- I have liked them since I played the first one in 2015 at GC in MOBILE ALABAMIE --- been hooked since-- but never could find one cheap enough for my Ferengi ways.........till now ;)

No remorse here. Kinda giggling cause it appears I got the last one. After closing the deal I went back to check something and it said more on the way. Damn that was a close one.

I totally agree that these are great guitars and I for one ALWAYS liked the 2015 features minus the G-Force. And the G-Force is a purely aesthetic thing for me. Just don't care for the look and it was an easy swap out on all the guitars I've had that came with one. Hell I left it on my 2014 SG for months before I decided to make the change....

Nice score Adrian! I also was poop talking the 2015 Gibbies. I have tried out a couple of them. One very similar to yours. The necks on them are not bad at all. I'm not crazy about the tune gizmo but I can't fully knock it since I have not owned one and tried it out for any great length of time. You got a real beauty there from these photos. I feel you have done very well. You got a hell of a deal also. It does not need any modding at all like you stated earlier. By the way, I'm a fan of P90s. I only have one Lester with them but, they do have a signature tone which is very nice. I bet that guitar just sings.

Thanks Cat.
And it does.......well sings...hums.....wails....barks...snarls....all depending on where the knobs are set ;)

Hows things out West?

YOU mean Chester????

That would would be the much maligned and hated CHINESE Lester I got for 180.00 delivered to me door---with very nice Epiphone inerds.. pups...epiphone metals and tuner hole sizings.....basically somewhere in China someone is taking epiphones and cutting GIBBO headstocks and adding Gibbo paint and inlay name badges.....not sure who--- probably disgruntled workers at the Epi plant---(its possible) --- but see now you went and started the whole conversation ------

Old pics the Tuners where replaced for some very nice Gibbo spec one (Thanks Chris) had to drill out the holes....it works good it plays good and it looks awesome. Best 180.00 Guitar I own ;)

Great Score guys!
Just got home to my new DC in Heritage Cherry. My first new Gibson. Always said I could never justify the price of a Gibson, well this helped. Got it out of the case, looked it over for flaws, found none. Guitar was detuned, pressed the power button, strummed each string, wow, tuned right up. No buzzes or fretouts, action just how I would set it. I think the neck feels very comfortable, & the guitar is very easy to play! Not even an adjustment period for the wide neck. Mines a keeper, & is going to stay in it's stock form.

OK since this is the thread responsible for this procurement, I am doing my NGD post here. It has arrived the last one SAM ASH had.
I will say this now, I am not crazy about the fret work. The ends need work for sure. May have a couple high spots also.

She is a looker for sure though. It does smell like chocolate. My SG smells like vanilla.

Been introducing it to my AC15, it can get VERY spanky.
