I just ran across this. It's made by Sophia and is a drop-in trem for Tune-O-Matic bridges, and it requires no routing. It's available in a variety of finishes and is available with or without tuners.

It's called the "Sophia Springer".

I may just get one of these for my Washburn.

There's a video in the link that talks more about it.

Only guitar I have a tremolo bar on is the Strat. And I barely use it. Don’t do any dive bombs with it…. Although I have done some just to see if it’ll snap back in tune. Spoiler alert. It always has…. Which I figure ain’t bad for an MIM Fender. Anyway…. I tend to use it more as a wiggle stick….. if I use it at all. I watch videos of guys like Jeff Beck and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him take his pinky finger off the bar except to play with the volume knob.

That’s a long way to say. Bet this would be an awesome deal for the person that uses them. Just not for me. I do like that it’s removable and the guitar is easily returned to stock.

That kinda brings to mind the Stetsbar trem that was designed around similar principle. @Thatbastarddon could elaborate much better than I , because he has that very Trem on an SG if memory serves me.

They even came up with a Floyd Rose FRX system that was targeted specifically for Gibson's truss rod cover and stop bars. It requires only two small wood screws behind the existing nut but, you are still drilling the headstock and thus altering a guitar. Still, the rest remains simple and reversible without routing. I can’t watch the video yet, but it looks like a model that I looked at a while back. It’s a fulcrum trem with a couple of spring steel plates, if I glanced correctly. I’m not home from work yet). I was tempted to, but since it’s priced like a Stetsbar…and I know the Stetsbar works well for me…well…

The FRX looked pretty wild when it came out, but the locking mechanism was a bit outside of my comfort level.
The Stetsbar on my SG performs flawlessly these days, and the one on my V is pretty darned close to flawless. The Stetsbar is not a fulcrum design. The whole bridge and tailpiece move to and fro with the bar movement…very smooth. Drops about an octave +…pulls up a step and a half(depending on setup).

The mechanism is rather different from a Stetsbar. This one does not move the bridge like the Stetsbar.

It is a fulcrum trem, but the coil springs are under compression and extend vertically from the surface of the plate.

Alright then…this one is a bit different than I thought. The macro tuners make it look like another trem unit that I saw a couple of years back. This one looks like some nice fun. Am I reading right? Are they only available with metric bolts?(edit:found the standard stoptail bolts packed with metric bridge bolts) Regardless…the Bigsby spring vibe is pretty cool IMO!

Yeah…now that I’m not in a parking lot, on my phone, I can see the funky coil springy bits.
I saw immediately that it was a fulcrum trem. Since using the Stetsbar, I’m not so sure how I feel about this one. I changed up the saddles, and my eyes bugged right out at the price changes.

Edit:
There certainly are a couple of moving bits that come away from, and back into, contact with the guitar finish. Definitely not sure how to feel about that. The demo guitar in the video looks like it was just picked up out of the factory box, and there appeared to be some visible finish anomalies around the bridge area when they took it apart.

I’m gonna see if I can find the other one that had a very similar look, with the macro tuners….
