And why the Beatles aren’t on the list. They were done by 1970. Same story with Tommy James. They were initially done by 1970. So yeah. Need to eat some of my words as well.If this is the 70s, I'll retract my statement though they WERE recording by then, but Iron virgin and no Iron Maiden?!?!!?!!!!?!

One name I had is Herb Alpert. Just not sure where he fits. Started making music and selling albums in the 60s and is still making music and selling albums into the 2000s.Since this is 1970's era and doesn't seem to be exclusive to any genre - seeing that there are rock, country, motown, funk, and disco groups listed - I'll add the following:
1. The Trammps. One of their main hits was Disco Inferno, released in 1976.
2. Barry Manilow. Granted, he wasn't popular with the rockers, but he was a prominent musical figure in the '70s.
3. Def Leppard. The group formed in 1976 under the name Atomic Mass. After a few name changes, they hit upon Def Leppard in 1977
4. Blondie. Formed in 1974.
5. Loverboy. Just makes it in - formed in 1979, though their first record did not hit until 1980.
I suppose that's enough for now.
Speaking of Herbs, Herbie Mann is among my favorites. One name I had is Herb Alpert. Just not sure where he fits. Started making music and selling albums in the 60s and is still making music and selling albums into the 2000s.
The Beatles are on this one for 1965.And why the Beatles aren’t on the list. They were done by 1970. Same story with Tommy James. They were initially done by 1970. So yeah. Need to eat some of my words as well.
It was a copy and paste from another forum(google) lol not my list . I was however going to modify it for basic rock.Lots of good stuff on the list, but lots missing. The first thing I checked was Mountain....you got that, good job! You even did/Leslie West.
Leslie West had a solo career with his own albums and should be listed under his own name.
Felix Papalardi same thing, but also in a band called Creation. Felix was also on many other albums by other people and he produced many.
West, Bruce and Lang should have their own too.
I was going to change the Tittle but ……. anyway. No matter. If this is the 70s, I'll retract my statement though they WERE recording by then, but Iron virgin and no Iron Maiden?!?!!?!!!!?!
