Ok, so goofing around with a Strat body and some pickguards I have laying around. The center-to-center distance of the two humbucker mounting screws is 4.450" with 2-15/16" between the two humbuckers - bobbin edge to bobbin edge. I have looked at several pickguards that say "not regular strat pickup placement," or give a measurement from bridge to edge of bridge pickup route. This is a little confusing and I want to work stuff out before I order up a pickguard I cannot use.

Here's what Spike at Warmoth told me this morning:

Hey Robert,

On our 2 hum Strat pickguards, the distance from center to center
(pickup mounting screws) is approximately 4”.
It is approximately .625” from bridge notch to start of bridge hum.

You might try www.pickguardian.com as they can work
from the current guard or, perhaps a tracing.

I forgot about this....

This full-siza Strat body, made by B. Hefner, was originally designed to have triple humbuckers. So, the bridge and neck ickups were shifted apart to make room for the middle pickup, which was never routed out. The advantage of this is the bridge pickup sounds really good closer to the bridge, but it will require a custom-traced pickguard....
