I know there are bands that were hugely influential and thereis no denying it. I get it.
But I don't have to love their guitar tones.

I hate the sorta out of phase nasally tone. None of it really ever did anything for me. Influencial though they were.

That one will be controversial. Back in Black is ok but tbe earlier stuff? Hard rockin tunes with a barely distorted break up that fades to clean?

First album KISS
Lameass tones. Very little distortion for a hard core rock band with huge stage show, makeup, explosions etc. Just lame tonally, could be a sign of the times except Sabbath had heavy sounds a few years before this, as an esample. Alive is where it started to really cook.
