I think I know how it's gonna go but lets do another vote, of course we accept open discussion! That's the fun part!

Spongbob didn't cover Crue, so my vote goes to Twisted Sister

I saw Crue in concert, Girls, Girls Girls tour. I was "out of sorts" during it,
but my main take-away was, holy crap this is like some sort of Satanic Mass event.
I know it was all just show, but it was pretty convincing - made me feel quite uncomfortable,
but in a theatrical way, if you get my drift.

Damn!!!
I’m a big fan of both.
Crue before theatre of pain was unbeatable. I wore out cassettes of Too Fast for Love and Shout at the Devil multiple times. Nikki Sixx made me want to get a warlock bass.
TS are a local band from NY and the first time I saw them play was at CBGBs. That show was WOW!! As an aside, the 412 Carvin I have was said to be used at the Paladium by Jay Jay French.

Both bands bring me back to “the good ole days”
Both bands rocked hard.
Both bands helped shape my musical taste.

I think I will have to go against the home town boys on this one.
I listened to Crue WAAAAAY more than I did TS.

CRUE by a hair for me.

Twisted Sister isn't going to win this, let's be honest lol but before I cast my vote, they deserve one honorable mention above everything else: They, specifically Dee Snider, went to war for the freedom of expression against the PMRC. Not only did he give some colorful, insightful points, he held himself with a lot of integrity and cleverness. For that alone? They deserve our respect.

That being said, while I love TS for their fun, good time approach as well as some great guitar by Eddie Ojeda? Motley Crue would be hard to beat on any day.

From Too Fast For Love and Shout At The Devil, they were as tough and metal as it gets. Some wicked riffs from Mick Mars and I have stolen a LOT of his style over these specific years lol Theater of Pain had some great songs but outside of Wild Side? I HATE Girls, Girls, Girls. Dr. Feelgood was the last album I liked before I tuned out entirely.

So Crue wins, but shout out to Stay Hungry: underrated album

Saw both multiple times, skipped school to meet and greet a barely discovered MC at a Music millennium in Gresham Oregon, still have the autographs. That said live TS just put out so to speak, probably because they had to. Better live show for TS but the body of work goes to the Crue and the catalog of killer riffs Mars put out is too much for the girls to overcome. Btw I saw TS open for Y&T. Actually they opened for someone else the 3 times I saw them.

You basically saved me the time to type this as this pretty much echoes what I was going to say. Crue by a nose.

Ok ...Razzle is just as at fault and a partner in the crime the way I see it. That story is pure rock-n-roll politics and was a way to stick it to Vince while at the same time use him for "name-drop" purposes for people's own notoriety back then, and even now. Michael Monroe and his 'Hanoi Rocks' totally played and milked this for all the publicity they could get. All while completely sucking real bad as well. JMO, sorry.

I grew up on 'Mutley Stew' and was introduced to them in '84 while some of us were sneaking a cig in the middle school bathroom and one buddy was writing their name and logo on the stall door (from the outside I hafta say). I remember he appeared to have spelled it wrong, and he did. At any rate it was Crue forever after that point. My parents took me and a friend to see Twisted Sister and Dio locally and it scarred them for life - Dee was talking poop about parents and my mom was scared for her life. Not kidding. I also saw MC in '95 on the their Theatre of Pain tour. I've seen Vince maybe a couple times solo and met him in Vegas at his Tattoo shop on '08. He was a REAL COOL down to earth guy - one that doesn't have to prove himself like the other two guys do.

I worshipped the ground Vince walked on as a kid and still think he's the epidemy of the word cool. No one will ever sound like him regardless of how well they will ever sing. For this I think he's got the most iconic voice in rock/metal of all time. Yes, ...Vince. :dancepoo:

I acknowledge "Stew" up to a couple songs off "Girls" but nothing after. Actually to me 'Mutley Stew' is their first 3 albums only. After that they lost the Magic completely.

My vote here is for 'Mutley Stew", naturally.

I was never a fan of either group but I did see the crew in 2015 when they were suppose to retire. They definitely draw the “ looks that kill” audience.

On a side note I eluded security to get to the remote (friends and family stage ) They did their encore and I got a pick. It was actually fun.

They do sound better than TS , well they used to.

The other side note Vince did not go unscathed after the death of Hanoi Rocks member. He had a tough karma.
