Session 5
Ambassador of Strings & Wings
Where i live my local shop will be changing.
It is with conflicting emotions that I announce my retirement from Picker's Alley. At 65 years of age, and after 41 years of running pickers alley music store, it is time for me to enter the next part of my life.
This job is a dream for a lot of people, and this business has been a pleasure to be a part of. Lambton County has treated me wonderfully since I started here in 1984! The store will be taken over on March 17, 2025, by the national chain Long & McQuade Musical Instruments Ltd. We will be L&M's 107th store in a chain that stretches from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island.
This is a proud and profound moment for me, and everyone involved with Picker's Alley. I'd like to thank all current and former employees of our fine store, especially Tony Zangolli, whose dedication, loyalty, commitment and friendship has always been treasured by me. As his friendliness, pride in workmanship,
helpful manner and great sense of humour has been treasured by all.
Tony and I look forward to speaking with all of you as we wind things down over the next couple of months and prepare for the transition. Thank you, Lambton County, it's been a blast!
