The guitar has been pinstriped since 2017.
I’ve looked at it from every angle it can possibly be looked at—including pictures of me playing it and watching other people (friends) playing it.
It hangs on the wall in my office/library/guitar room/lair, so I see it (and look at it every day).
The design is based on a combination of something Billy Gibbons has on one of his Esquires and a picture I pulled from a hot rod website. The pinstripe artist threw a few things back and forth and we agreed this was the coolest design.
The intent was something you’d see on the trunk of a hot rod.
Nothing more.
If you see something untoward (or as you put it “ummm”), that speaks more to your mindset and maturity level than it does anything else.
No one who’s seen it in person has said a single thing or even questioned what it was—most of them say, “That guitar looks so cool!”
Maybe I hang out with people whose mind doesn’t reside near the gutter.
