NGD the Chili way. '07 Faded V

@jtcnj, the neck is medium. Not slim, not fat, I would say kinda D shape. I can sure put my contour gauge to it and compare to my GIB LP and Faded SG which as I said elsewhere are virtually the same contour where I measured them at 1st and 12th frets.

Thanks, I have some DeOxit on hand, I am pretty sure that Smitty would back me up, Bournes pots are amazingly free and easy to move. I have never had any trouble with pot Strats as far as hitting and knocking the volume one like you and EsGee ( Adrian)

For you and or almost any of our guys who DON'T have a Faded V like from the early 2000's like BastardDon, Headache, fitz, ME, THESE cherry V's are sick. Also, Mitch has a White V that is likely as killer as our red ones are. I already know that every video I have seen him playing it gave me V gas. Thanks to Mitch, Bdon and all you guys for pushing the plunger on the syringe. Don't tell anyone, but I will likely be adding a few more like Mitch has to choose from. He already knows about a certain Strat type guitar that is currently available near me that I want to go look at too. HINT HINT

I definitely think I am going to buy this guitar if it isn't a mess. To fund it and my V I just got, I am thinking about letting my 2 Strats go, my Squire Classic Vibe Tele, my Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat Acoustic, Some chainsaws, tools, cars n trucks etc.

Do you know if he detuned those heavy strings? It sounds like Albert went the opposite approach than BB did. BB liked his thin strings, apparently Albert liked strings a la Stevie Ray.
I don't know if he de-tuned.
He called the strings "telephone poles."

I only smoked one with BB, leaning up against the wooden fence, in back of Tipitina's, in the rain.
He wouldn't let me play his guitar. He wouldn't let nobody play that guitar.

Well, I went to the Music Go Round today to check out the Jackson Adrian Smith X Series Sig guitar. It was clean as far as the finish despite being a used guitar. Comes with Gig Bag for $400. Obviously it is foreign made, Floyd copy, and Jackson Pickups etc.
Contrary to that one, the USA version of the San Dimas has the T Rod adjuster by the neck pickup. The USA obviously have US Spec pickups, ( I am thinking they are Seymour Duncan or Dimarzio ) and the official USA Floyd Rose trem and USA electronics.

I also found a sweet Charvel that has the Original Floyd and I think Duncan pickups if I remember. That one they want $600 for I think.

I checked out a bunch of other good examples of their other cool guitars like LTD, Jackson, and even a Sterling Petrucci 7 string. One thing I noticed on quite a few guitars was sharp fret ends. Not sure if this was a QC issue at the various factories, or a condition because of a dry environment in the store or what?

I will have to scratch my head on if I want any of the guitars I tried. I almost would like to find a USA Adrian Smith.

It's because the wood shrinks slightly, then the fret ends stick out.

This is what I figured. At my mom and pop guitar shop I bought many guitars from over the years, the owner would keep a humidifier going in his shop. I never felt sharp fret edges at their shop.

One guitar at the Music Go Round had such sharp fret ends, I thought I was going to slice my left hand open. I put that guitar back on the hook extra carefully.

That happened to me at my local Guitar Center on a brand new Strat. I try not to shop there unless my local mom and pop doesn’t have what I need.

Considering mine is an '07 and KK's was being played in '82, I have a feeling it was Pre '82 and maybe an actual 60's one.
I can't see a medallion or not.

There's a great story behind KK getting that 1971 medallion V.

And then he sold it not long ago for like $105,000 or something and also his '67 V for like $189,000

I sure am digging my V and the Black Winter pickups. While I was checking out some Charvel Dinky vids and guitars with their Pure Shred/ Jazz combo of Humbuckers, I came across this vid and this guy's impression in his BC Rich guitar. WOW the sounds of the Black Winters. DAMN I love the riffage he kicks out at like 7:58-8:14+

Got to say that's the worst guitar sound to date
