Yep, not too bad considering it's 48 years oldWow thing is like new.Very nice.
HAHA, my first thought was it was a Jangly type guitar like Chrissy Hynde-like Jangle. That old Melody Maker looks to be in very good condition. Congrats…. How does it play and sound? I bet those single coils are on the hot and rude side!
Sure is! Looks minty.sweet condition.
It's 7.1 lbs.I bet it barely weighs 6 lbs. Beauty. Love the old wood and color.
Didn't really tried it yet, I'll make an update Monday. That old Melody Maker looks to be in very good condition. Congrats…. How does it play and sound? I bet those single coils are on the hot and rude side!
Lookin’ forward to that update!!!Didn't really tried it yet, I'll make an update Monday.
UPDATE : Pickups, pots, jack ordered just nowFinally gave this beauty a small setup and polish last night and opening the guitar I saw it could accommodate P-90's without routing number or modifying the body, I think I'll make a new pickguard with all the works (and P-90's of course) that I can swap easily when needed.
As for the guitar in its original state it growls and moans as I never thought it would, the neck pup is dark and strong almost like a humbucker, the bridge pup is just a wee bit thinner and provides a great Telecaster style twang. Most and foremost I think it's a Les Paul in disguise.
The guitar was tested through a 1969 Fender Champ first and then through a 1966 Traynor Bass Master and a Jekyll and Hyde OD/ Distortion pedal.
Just when I thought it couldn’t possibly get any better!!!…UPDATE : Pickups, pots, jack ordered just now![]()

So, what happened to make you want to switch all that?UPDATE : Pickups, pots, jack ordered just now![]()
