I'll give y'all some clues to, what it is? #180.

This is the 5th song off their (self titled) Debut album,
The original lead singer passed following complications from a car crash, band members have changed a lot over the years, their second singer committed suicide a few years back in 21.

This bands second album is one of my favorite albums of all time....heck, it may be my Favorite album of all time.
Founded in 1980 in San Francisco then moved to Seattle.
13 studio albums! Currently still touring.

And this band is the reason I play explorers!

The hints did it for me.

Hitman - Metal Church

Those first 2 albums were great but then I lost touch with them.

Here's a sloppily played entry. Most of the hints that @Headache provided actually apply to this song/band as well. I was originally guessing this band from his hints but realized it was of course a different song and band.

Some of @Headache's clues for the Metal Church tune that also apply here:

- This is the 5th song off their debut album,
- The original lead singer passed (from a stroke, not a car crash)
- Founded in 1979 (not1980) in San Francisco (just outside it actually)
