Don’t remember when I bought it, but it was my first Sabbath album….. but somewhere in the 70/71 range. Bought it because of Paranoid and Iron Man…. And then discovered the whole darn album was great.

I always thought the album was 71 as well.... But that's also the year for master of reality.
Maybe it was released in Britain 70 and not the states until 71?

I didn’t even find Master of Reality until 72,
That was the year I finished 8’th grade

Bought their first four albums and didn’t buy another one. Still feel those first ones were the best ones.

I bought every one of them til Ozzy got fired, then I bought the ones with Dio, and the Ozzy releases as well, I even bought some of the other Sabbath albums up to Headless Cross.
Because I was a fan of Iommi’s riffs

My guess would be no. When my youngest was teaching himself bass he wore out the Schism track on his CD. Like an hour a day. He got pretty good at it. But 25+ years later….. I still get an earworm with that one.

Oh well. I did pull up Schism and listen. Obviously, in my head I heard my kid practicing it ad nauseam. Totally missed the guitar part. Should not have doubted @Headache.

I make jokes. But since my kid practiced….. a lot…. He got really good at playing not only his bass, but playing guitar also. Has played bass in a couple bands.

I like to tell the story how one day he was messing around on a Ukulele. He’s done Thunderstruck on my electrics so I challenged him to do it on his Uke. Took him a few moments to figure out the fingering since a Uke is tuned differently….. and then the dang kid proceeded to do Thunderstruck. Show off!!!!!

I turned the gain way down to make this clip, and yes they have like 20 songs with these chords...so yes, it sounds a lot like AC-DC.

But this one is a different band.
