You are not alone on this site, most people only play tube amps. I did only play tube amps and I have at least 5 real tube amps.
Many years ago tube amps caused tennitus.
But it is a toy. I did not know people hated Chapman. I might not have posted it.
 
No matter the feelz regarding Chappers, I think it was a funny subject. Repurposing stuff for creating useful noise can be fun…like making a sub-kick mic from an old speaker and a chunk of Sonotube (or something similar)….or just let it fly, like this guy…


I wouldn’t want it as my only mic, but it would be nice to have around. That little toy was hilarious, and reminded me of my Fender Greta…but plastic.

I don't hate Chappers per se.

Heck, he was always entertaining as I would watch him with Captain.
I just could not see myself interested in yet another bit of tech that has me with tons of angst at the forced compliance with modern tech in everything right down to taking a dump on the latest and greatest crapper.

There was a clip , I removed it.
The interesting part is how describes the tube amps slow demise.

Funny thing about tech, it keeps rolling forward whether we embrace it or resist it.
In my situation it’s a blessing to do silent record in my current living space.
When several years ago I discover the “bean” it was on.
 
That Pod Bean kept me playing guitar and creating music in my time of desperation when I got Furloughed.
I had to go trough a lot of difficulty , once I moved there was a time when all I could do is use the Roland Quadcapture interface, headphones , pod and computer.

So from 2019 forward I progressed in to the current set up. HX Stomp / UA Volt 476, Headphones and computer. My interface and DAW is better but same style of recording. Of course I can record amps as well, they are just to loud in most cases. I might try to get a good low volume tone if that exists. The tube amp likes voltage to sound good. lol
