That is all done via CNC. I shined up the matte finish and added the gold tuners as I think they are a better match for the gold foil logo and the overall colour palette of an acoustic.

I'd imagine pretty much any guitar neck starts out with CNC machining these days. Makes for very consistent results not possible with shaping by hand.

Martin does have a custom shop that does far more shaping and other processes by hand.

It's not on any standard series below 28. Unsure about 2x model lines that have been discontinued. Seems the 35 should have been nerked as a higher end model. It is a bit of an odd duck classic model-wise. I really dig the three piece back, but am unsure of the thinner bracing.

The three piece back was introduced partly to better utilize ever valuable Brazilian rosewood and East Indian as well. They were already in the process of phasing out Brazilian at that time.
