I like these, when first got stuck playing guitar 2015. Took a bass rig to GC & walked out with VK50 & that became the basis for the whole 12 song album recorded in the studio. Thinking back had this & then few songs into the sessions picked up Bug V22. Had a few EPI's with good pickups. WGS Et65. Vet 30, Emi A Type & & Texas heat speakers to mic.. Wasn't really a guitar player at all but the simplicity of that album was probably better than anything after. Never worried about the gear so much just made songs & played them live. Good times.
Anyways
VK 100 on top of the XXX Cab, Put the Marshall Vintage & t75 saved from my 4x12's. had a fav speaker to mic & yanked them & kept em all this time. The t75 i way dif than compared to the other ones have sitting around. Heavier & sweeter(prob age) & plays even loudnessVK 100.jpgt75 v30.jpgxxx cab 30 73.jpgVK 100 5150 jsx.jpg with V30 in a cab mix.

Nice! I had a VK112 I quite liked it has a gain/volume (either or both) boost buttons which is one less channel needed but works great live. Sounded pretty decent with a V30.
As things go I sold it.
Turns out now Peavey is almost impossible to service here due to lack of parts shipments from PV so probly best I ditched it.
Liked it tho.

Look at you Mr. Peavey!

My other guitarist used to rock a VK. Actually sounded pretty good too.

Then I sold him a DSL and a JSX and he hasn't even looked at that VK ever again ha ha ha. I think he gave it to his son.
They are good amps for the price.

It's very interesting with a 5150-JSX-VK side by side

What i did was spend a lot of time pairing the cabs with each. With a certain mission for each

5150 the punch you in the face downtuned heavy sound

JSX the downtuned super tight heavy sound

VK thick hard rock lower gain but with the early v30/t75's a super lead sound

Mission Accomplished , but super cool unexpected result.. can get them all very close to eachother(shows what having them side by side does vs clips or reading about opinions with no actual experience)

Then the amazing result..the most thick classic hard rock tones backing these down. They all sit so well recording.. then use the dif cabs for them its like having 9 rigs in 3
