Simple as this. Years back I didn’t / couldn’t get away from the orange peel. But it was time enough invested and it was now time to Rock.

Thanks to helpful tips from @Believer7713 i was able to smooth it out.

Still more to do. Perhaps in the next few years. Clear coat, trim the guard straight above the trem (don’t look.) Maybey emphasize the tribute to PRS on the lower horn. Swirl scratches already.

This has been my work horse though the last 8years. Even observed some fret wear.
Wow. I never would have thought. I’ve a light touch. Modern frets evidently don’t have the strength of ‘vintage’ frets. SS from now on.

I had my Strat refretted with stainless last year by a very good and experienced luthier. You won't regret it. Aside from being much more wear-resistant, they're slicker than standard frets.
