Geoff, thats pretty weak beer. You need to get some of this stuff.. You have a few of these, and you will start seeing one of your Saskatchewan RoughRiders wearing a Hamilton TigerCats uniform..:D

According to a list of the Strongest Canadian Beers collated by RateBeer, the highest alcohol content beer in Canada is the Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout, brewed by Junction Craft Brewing in Toronto. This strong beer has an ABV of 14.9%, making it the strongest beer available in Canada.

We have a similar Stout brewed in Chicago…. But at a “weak” 13.9 ABV. Goes quite nicely with a big bowl of chili.

Mmmm both of those brews look fantastic!
While I drink most beers I too am a fan of local micro brewers, less so of generic filtered thru kidneys stuff like Coors Lite.

Gibson Les Paul Studio Doublecut, Guinness Extra Stout (St. James Gate, Dublin, 4.2 abv).

My band has a song called "St. James Gate." Hard to believe it took me like 30 years to write a proper drinking song. Its lyric content is kinda weird though. Based on my discovery that Irish religious pilgrims used to leave from St. James Gate to visit Catholic shrines in Spain, which I found an interesting juxtaposition.

Since I quit drinking in 1998, the Miller Brewing Company has changed ownership three times.

The president of Jose Cuervo personally called me and said, “C’mon, I got a mortgage and two kids in college—YOU CAN’T DO THIS TO ME!”

I drank enough between 1984-1998 (14-28 years old) to last me until 2054, when I’ll be 84…my liver will have caught up by then.
I quit cold-turkey.
I had to learn how to do certain things sober (like playing a gig).
I wasn’t the type of drinker that was sitting there shaking because I “had to have a drink”, I just drank too much and got stupid and lazy when I drank, so I quit.

My playing improved and it saved my marriage. I’m so happy (proud?) that my daughter has never seen me drunk.

But I don’t care if other people drink around me.

I have posted this photo before in different threads.

Back story...... When my eldest was in college.... graduated 2001.... the Frat he was in threw a party. Imagine that. Theme of the party was to bring a six pack of the cheapest beer you could find. There was the usual Schlitz, PBR, Red White & Blue.... etc. But the guy that won came in with this stuff. Not sure he spent 3 bucks on it. Guess it was really bad but was all gone before the night was over. Also.... imagine that. :pound-hand:
