NAD 5150

After messing around a bit. This amp is so mid forward in all the right ways. I am hearing lower & upper mids actually. Could be my cab helping maybe. Can dial up huge bottom or very specific mid punch leads. Its actually as good as hot JCM800 modded when you ease the settings into place. It has that bottom that comes up naturally with volume but the 5150 is way better suited for gain.

It could be that rare balance of bottom end clean headroom & gain that can come in at any level you want. In that clip i knew it would be a lil harsh but after messing with presence & resonance have quite a few sounds dialed in now,

The cab is the 5150's i save on top & EMi Swamp Things on bottom. Its clear, focused & punchy. Absolutely going to be able to get so many tones out of this.

Know what i must do next to make it easy for next batch of recording. JCM 800 2205 & Orange k100 4x12to pair with it. Was going to get a Triple Rec but this dials in so easy with resonance knob.
 
Congrats! I had a 5153 head at one point and a 6534 1x12 combo. It really thumped, I liked it a lot but found a fine line between gainy and too compressed, loses punch. Also you CANNOT get PV repaired here in Canada except the largest centres, period. Sold it to my bro.
I still have the lil 6505 mini head. Might use it next month.

Thanks Just posted a song done with it. It loves the PV 5150's & EMI Swamp Things. Took awhile to find the OG block letter but way worth it.
 
Here is the cab that emphasizes all the goodness.. Also, dialed in clean tones very easily & can set it up, in your face marshallesque. When i put it on greenbacks & take some saturation away, it so just there ,

Think of this i have first run 5150 out of my 4x12 PV 5150 cab up top & Emi Swamp things under. It is the cab for this amp. That tight deep non mush bottom end & a greenback like power speaker up top. BUT its in an AVT cab...the projection is like 1 speaker not 4 all over place like most 4x12's . Its focused like a single speaker no mystery dead zones like some cabs

Its 2 completely dif amps on those 2 cabs.
