That's an interesting transaction series...
Me, I only own one bass any more. I'm retired so I sold my old Fender Jazz and my rebuilt Squier Precision.
I now have only my Warmoth fretless, which is my dream bass. I named her Loretta after a song by
Townes Van Zandt.
She resides in a gig bag these days. When I sold my '66 Fender J Bass, I included a reproduction Fender
Tweed case, because I thought it would sell better. I don't think I got much more money for it, which is
my cross to bear. But I needed it gone, and I needed to get as much money as I could for it, and I can't
complain about small stuff.
Here's the gig bag my Luretta lives in:

This gig bag is made by Reunion Blues. I like it a lot. This is the one
that they advertised by throwing it off a four story parking structure with a
Strat inside, and the Strat was unharmed and still in tune. *laughs
So I bought one and to me it's worth it. I don't know if my Luretta would survive
such treatment, because she's heavier than any Strat and maybe would land harder
on the concrete. I have no intention of finding out. I paid considerable money for this
case, and would be annoyed to see them for sale on the Bay for small money, but it
has to happen, doesn't it. *shrugs
I wanted mine to be lighter and handier than my old one, and it is.
