Blast from the past. Probably Easter Sunday in 1994. My Mom and Dad. My brother, wife and both kids on the right of Grandma and Grandpa. And then me, my wife and our two boys on the left. Shared this photo with my family. My 18 year old granddaughter told her dad he was nerd then and he's still a nerd today. He'd be the one in the vest. He was 11 here.

Last weekend visiting my daughter for her birthday, in Sacramento:

A note about the shemagh. Although I do have political beliefs, that's not a statement. My left jaw and neck were rebuilt 6 or so years ago (osteoradionecrosis), and it's pretty gnarly looking. So in more recent shots, at least onstage, I tend to cover it up.
Oh well, all's well that ends well.

So that's what the rest of mouse looks like!I have a vacation home in Italy and when I was there in May I picked up a cheap Eko (Italian brand) LP to keep there. I grabbed it from a local shop just to help the local economy…at least that was the justification I gave to my wife.

Ta, I'd almost forgotten he frequently does the scarf thing. Of course, in his case it's more of a "trailhand on the Plains neckerchief and duster" vibe. I always thought he had a great look. Of course, it doesn't hurt that the b*stard is handsome as all get out, haha!
I like a shemagh/keffiyeh a lot of the time, because I'm in Florida (albeit North Florida) and those type scarves are very light, since basically made for Middle Eastern desert wear. It does get fairly cool in winter in this part of the state, and during that time I have more options:
Just trying to turn a negative into a positive, haha! Incredibly fab guy instead of disfigured cancer survivor.
Our fallen star, Inspector #20, Robert Herndon, made 27 custom guitars back around 2017-2018. One of them he made for Marty Stuart, playing it here.
