The energy, the build of the solo, all the poontangy goodness!
Definitely! As a snot nosed teen, all I wanted was a raccoon tail and a big hollowbody to feedback lolLoved that album, huge influence.
Mark Farner is 10 times the musician as Nugent…..maybe 100 times…Agreed. Ted was a boring one trick pony guitar-wise in the key of A. A terrible example of our species too.
Loves me some Grand Funk! One of the first "cool" albums I got as a kiddo:

I shoulda used this. I’ve built 2 guitars for Joe and he is probably my single biggest influence on electric guitar playing as well as as a producer.More of a riff than a solo but this made me get serious about electric guitar.
I saw Mark Farner jam with Jack Bruce at the Bladesdale Arena in Honolulu. This was a total gas because I never expected to see Mark Farner at this show, and then there he was. What can I say,? it was a great concert. During the break I did have the opportunity to speak with Mr. Bruce; but alas I was not fortunate enough to meet Mr. Farner in person.Mark Farner is 10 times the musician as Nugent…..maybe 100 times…
