Burn it

I will have to look up but thought just occured tome, I wonder if Okume has a natural oil in it? That would have not conducted well.
High silica content. You will want to use carbide tips blades and bits. Also Wood DB said it was porous.

Got some progress done, things move slow as you need to build up low spots but not make too much of a mess with the epoxy. The front is now pretty dang flat. Got it sanded to 800 grit, so it's pretty smooth. Some more sanding to do on the sides and back but that will be another day. Just threw a copper colored guard I had in the cabinet on it for a pic. Maybe next weekend I will start hitting it with some clear.

Speaking of burning, my nieghbor about 300 yards away was doing some illegal burning and it got out of hand and burned a brand new out building they had put up not too long ago. Saw the black smoke from the front window as we sat down to eat and heard sirens shortly after that.

They accidentally burned down their new shed?
You got a lifetime supply of ball bustin' right there, buddy... :rolf:

Gotta light?

Well don't burn things when it is verboten. Had it been dry there?

We need bigger images. PleaseS.gif

I want details...

Super cool concept, science-y goodness!
Its good fun and I get to make some one of a kind things. My kid is an electrician and he wanted to start doing this. He built the rig, and it looks DIY but be did it right. He has a Variac and a dead man switch for the just in case stuff. I see now after watching the vid again we need a rubber mat under the bodies, next time. Thanks for havin a look :victoire: :celebrate:

Yup. Throw some Brawndo on it. :)

I would suggest a non-conductive of course pan to catch any run off. The voltages are big.
