That was awesome! Particularly dug the brass section "Butt Trumpets" that is what I was missing out on oninr for that Tower of Power vibe... excellent single point

This sounds like the kind of modern "antihero" spy theme where no matter how hard the CIA tries to win, they always get thwarted by the good guys!
- great use of sound effects too.

Now the question is my penthouse friend, you earned all six bonus points, but which track is going to be the one you choose to enter for the big Round Seven vote?

I guess it was but platform shoes were a thing in history. Sadly no vest. Lol

We find @LiveeviL2000 alone at last in the penthouse. finally able to wash his 6 month old soiled loincloth.
@Ku² and @TVvoodoo are plotting to sneak back in before Liveevil finds KuKu's stash of nudie mags ... and uses them!
@Aynirar27 is finally getting recognition, we kinda remember him name now ... most of the time.
@Randy Van Malmsteen , @Jethro Rocker , @Thatbastarddon , @Sapient , @ibmorjamn , and @Mitch Pearrow SJMP are all fighting and clawing in the RiffMaster moshpit. Who knows which one of them will come out on top and make a second half push for the top spot.
@C-Grin has been unusually quiet as of late. Is there a Mountain Dew shortage??
@Clockworkmike is most likely using some sneaky strategery and is using advanced mathematics in his plan to take the top spot.
@frostyjr2 and @Mouse are on a collision course and set to duel eachother this coming round.
@iblive gave us a rare treat this round with an entry. I believe he has threatened to grace us all again with more musical madness.
Great job by everyone this last round.

Seriously though, Damn, I TOTALLY missed this entire voting dead line. I get some notifications sent right to the top of my phone screen, others, wouldn't even know it happened. It's a conspiracy!
 
RiffMasters Chapter Seven Side Hustle

Many of you have been gently bent back and forth, twisted and tested slightly by the previous musical challenges.
I believe I have saved the most intense, most maddening challenge yet (for the bulk of players) for this very moment.

Well Cats and Kitties, this is sure to be one of those for me.... and I'm guessing many other so-called RiffMasters. But can we honestly call ourselves any
kind of RiffMaster, if we can't even fake something semi-passable over a lousy minute of the most common Jazz progression? I think NOT!

Here's your backing track, with a helpfully discouraging prelude, and a very typical Jazz progression. But I don't care if you use any other similar.


Have no clue how to get started? Have a look at the author notes in the above Youtube post.
Every key is in this video, if you seek it out. I really don't think that's gonna matter for most of us.

The goal here is to simply play some somewhat listenable guitar with this for a minimum of 1:00 solo lines, and/or chord comping, doesn't matter.
Again, this is all about stretching our personal boundaries, not at all about virtuosity. IT WILL NOT BE JUDGED, at least openly LOL!

Your “Jazz Oddyssey” post is due before the end of the Round 7 Main Event vote.
Thankfully there will be no judgement. Only FIVE automatic points if you manage to lay something down.
As we've all seen so far, I expect some really nice surprises, and open minds musically.

No RiffMasters Main Event Challenge is mandatory. Anyone can drop in at any time, and you should!
Once again the goal is to have fun, challenge yourself, use the gear and share your journey with us all.

But it's not really about points! It's about creating, participating and sharing with forum friends.

- it even swings a bit too, and some wonderful vibrato.
Unexpectedly good! Yeah, that frosty gal is gonna kill us all I think

I also don't expect anyone to go long and across the key change, staying in one is perfectly good
