Recently I made the decision to get back to music more in my life. I've always been around it, not so much playing live or with others, but enjoying the fruits of Musician Labor. When I was growing up I would spend hours listening in my room. Spend every dollar spent building up a monument of speakers and gear in my bedroom that was far exceeding the realm of normal.

Over the last few decades, I've paired down my systems to mostly listening to headphones or while I'm driving. I live in an apartment so big systems just aren't in the cards or necessary. Recently a contact of mine at my work gave me the heads up about my company's relationship with Klipsch. He sent me the accommodation form and well, I couldn't resist.

What started as an idea to replace my failing Adcom Preamp and JBL soundbar, which really don't sound all that great together, turned into a fantastic reintroduction to listening to music. I now have my turntable set up, connected up to my TV and system and everything sounds so damn good. My downstairs neighbor likes to crank up their Latin Rap music from time to time and now I have a perfect answer when they do. I've been listening pretty much nightly as the little lady steps outside for some doobage. I chill and listen to my hearts content.

My lovely Klipsch The Nines! I spent far less than I would have ever expected. :D

Nice!

I love my record collection! I recently bought a new turntable and have been listening to records every day. I've been holding on to my collection that I started in the late 60's all these years. Vinyl is a big thing again and I've been adding a lot of new records and replacing titles that I didn't treat so well when I was young.

Funny thing is my 11-year-old granddaughter spurred my interest to get back to listening to my collection. I went to visit her early this year and she told me she had a collection of "Vinyl's". I wasn't sure what she meant and was surprised when she showed me a collection of about 12 brand new LP's. I asked he where her record player was, and she said she didn't have one! She said she was just collecting them...well I fixed that problem right away by getting her a decent starter system. She has about 50 albums now and listens to them all the time!

My son started his Vinyl addiction at around the same age. We though he was kidding but quickly realized he has by far the broadest taste in music I've ever encountered. From Japanese opera, to 70's funk, 50's Sinatra, all the way to modern day EDM and Pop. The kid takes it all in. Loves his turntable we found for him.
