Here's something I just kinda sang over a backtrack ..a GOOD jammin backtrack I might add.

There is still something wrong with my singing and I cannot ever point my finger on what it is. Am I sliding around notes too much instead of directly landing on them?? Do I not sustain long enough?? Do I sustain off key when I do? Do I "ghost" over too many notes and you don't really hear them?? Please tell me if you can pinpoint the things that I see as still being wrongly done.

I have no idea what you’re doing wrong, for what it’s worth I thought it fit the song well.

I liked it. As far as pinpointing what you’re looking for, I can’t….but since you mentioned it, I can’t help noticing your sliding around to pitch now. Lots of singers I’ve seen do that from time to time. I’m sure I do…usually in an early “learning” take. Or the first times I try to coordinate guitar and vocals together.

Thanks Don! Just recognizing that and pointing it out is a HUGE deal. There's just some weird stuff I seem to do ..I slide and create variation (off pitch) in between the notes. If I hit 3 notes there are like 1000 pitches in between when it should be like a robot 1..........2...........3...... ONLY 3 notes held to perfection then IMMEDIATELY switch to the next one ...as were talking basically. Easier said than done ..for me anyway. Lol.

If/when I sing on a song for y’all…. There will be problem pinpointing the errors of my way. :run:

Heck if I know, it doesn't sound bad to me but I understand your question.
My son has nearly perfect pitch. He's always been able to sing.
I don't have that ability.
Thanks, iBs. Perfect pitch is a gift money and time cannot buy. He's VERY lucky.

Another one gifted is BFT Gibson's X. Funny how some people's voice can just float on air.

A man of sophisticated taste and ambition…. :rolf: :dood: That’s why I tried really hard to run almost all homebrew pedals, and a homebrew amp…people be like WTF is that stuff!?!? Are you really playing some kind of Valve Jr?!?! How do you know what does what?!?!(to the pedalboard full of unmarked aluminum boxes)…
My last few gigs have been played only with my home made guitars.

I don't think you slide ..you land right on the note - the correct ..procedure.
