No argument there brotherYou know more than anyone that I've paid my dues. You're one of the very few that were there for the whole show.![]()
I'm just amazed at how much better it is than my Standard that was made just a year later. It's ridiculous.Seems after the debacle of the 2015 guitars they were on a mission of redemption. The late-Hank J-era Trads in particular, from 2016-1019 just ended up being some of the best guitars they have made in their history, before the new ownership basically just started calling them what they always really were, Standards, and tweaked the specs a bit.
I have 2016 Trad, one of the LE ones with a plaintop and without weight relief. It's not just the best guitar I have ever owned, it rivals any guitar I have ever played from any era.

Congrats!
Life is good,

I have a Classic and Standard from 2016 and find it hard to AB as different hardware etc but both are fantastic guitars.Seems after the debacle of the 2015 guitars they were on a mission of redemption. It's already sustain city.Enjoy give it 20 years when it opens up sustain city.
Awesome reply…

That's nice as hell, man! It's finally here! 2019 Tobacco burst Traditional. This guitar is amazing, no question the best guitar I've ever played. The neck is perfect thickness and feels great even with slightly lower frets than I usually like, I don't even notice. The pickups are a big surprise for me too. I hated Burstbucker 1 & 2 when I had them before and figured I'd be swapping them out pretty quick, but they sound great and I think I'll keep them in. I did remove the covers though, I don't like pickup covers. Don't hate me, I'm not touching anything else.
It's beautiful, pics are good, but it looks better in person. I've looked it over and over for a flaw and I can't find one, it's mint! Looks like it's barely been played. I took the old strings off, wiped the whole thing down, cleaned the fretboard (even though it didn't need it it makes me feel better) and gave it coat of lemon oil. I believe it's the first time it's been oiled so it darkened up some.
Here are some pics, first a couple of the sellers pics because they're better than mine...
