It's Warm out...

So I'm staying in, in the air conditioning.
Not sure what part of the country you are…. But Chicago weather guys are bragging about upper 90s for Monday. With humidity, heat index over 100. I know that doesn’t sound horrible to some folk…. But those are big numbers for northern Illinois where average summer temps are mid-upper 80s.

Yea, I don't like the heat actually but I know a lot of people do. 75 - 80 is fine for me. Combined humid is worse. I keep the air in the house at about 71 and it's perfect ..especially with a fan lightly moving the air wherever I may be. We are close ..I'm in the Detroit suburban area.

We don’t run the AC anywhere near that cool. We set it to 78 and will bump it down a degree or two to get it to run if it’s xtra humid. What helps us is our house is totally enclosed by timber. The house only gets about 4-5 hours of direct sun a day. It has to be in the 90s for several days before inside temperature breaks 75 or gets near 78. AC will be getting run next week. Have several days in a row of 90 plus temps.

78F? That's not AC!!;)
My mom has it at 75 and I just fall to sleep there.
Can't deal with heat indoors.

One of the places I worked at, guys up front thought AC should be set at 68. I’d carry parts out to the service department where it was 100+. Then walk back into the AC. Actually took my breath away it was so cold….. compared to what I’d just come from. We would have customer walk in the front door and complain on how cold it was.

I like that kinda cool that you feel walking into Meijer or somewhere. Like ice when you step in out of the heat. Feels great. It's not very often I get too cool from AC either. Sometimes it's nice when it's frosty cold. Lol.

One of the best things this time of year is I can stop rewetting my acoustic climate control sponges for my three acoustics. I hate having to do that every week and 1/2 for about 8 months of the year.

It's a full on powder your nards red alert down here on the pond.

:run:

:ROFLMAO:

I feel so lucky to live in East TN. We've had beautiful weather mostly staying in the 70s and low 80s so far this year. Hell a couple of weeks ago I was still wearing a light jacket at night. Summer's here now, it'll be hot this weekend in the low 90s, but the humidity is low. I can deal with that.

Not that many days ago we’d need a jacket to take the pooch out in the morning. Shorts and tee shirt in the afternoon. Just typical northern Illinois weather this time of year. 40s at night. 70s during the day.

Now most of next week, looks like lows upper60s/lower70s with highs in the 90s. It’ll be a good time.
