RIFFMASTERS DEMOS, IDEAS, ALTERNATE RECORDINGS, and RANDOMNESS!

For the current RiffMaster Challenge I picked Eye of the Tiger that I’m going to put my own spin on.
I’ve never bothered to learn how to play this song. Never had any interest.
But now after listening to it, it sounds super simple to cover.
I’m going to learn it part for part then figure out what to do with it.
My brain tells me to go METAL TO THE CORE!!!
But then I’ll miss out on the bonus points for making it dance worthy.
… unless you count moshing a dance.

I am not going to make Venus dance worthy by any chance at all.. I just can’t play that way, plus as anyone can see I have no interest in points at all..
Once it’s in I will be awaiting my next duel, that at least will gain me 8 points ha ha

Kind of contradicted my own words lol

ok. I am trying to give it a disco rhythm with the bass and galloping guitars, while also trying to keep my METAL TO THE CORE cred by metaling it up a little too. Also, keeping a galloping picking rhythm for damn near 3 minutes was KILLER on my picking hand!!
This is a first attempt ... adding vocals to this isnt going to be fun. I dont have the range.
Tell me what you think of it so far.

That gets the job done. I like it. It’s fun even without the vocals added….yet.

Damn , Justice is Served. Lol

I have not yet made a song choice for the main challenge #6
I have been researching the idea of doing the Miami Vice theme but it's harder than it looks.

It's hard to imagine how far technology has come since the 80's.
Jan Hammer used a then state of the art computer synth sampler called Fairlight.
So it's obsolete now , they were huge. It was a computer, keyboard and keys.
An Austrailian design.

Funny story... I have been working on my western theme for days. This morning i was just sweetening it a bit with fx, eq etc. My wife comes into my gear grotto to ask me a question about plans for this afternoon while I was saving. I don't actually know what happened as I was a bit distracted, but turns out i saved over top my project somehow. Tried opening it up... just a big old blank. No tracks no nothing. Damn!!! It was maybe the coolest thing I've done so far. I had some great bass melodies and synth strings etc...

I tried to recreate it over the next two hours. It's a little bit similar, but not near as spontaneous and doesnt have the same flow. Couldn't remember the damn melodies!!!. Anyway, it's just for six automatic points. I should have saved a backup. I think the same thing happened to me a few years ago. Frustrating!!!
Be sure when you click people!

That sucks .
I have no fancy gizmos to do any of this, but I can surely relate to it
