Well we shall see how this goes. If it stays good, I might become a supporting member. I've never supported ST or their sister sites monetarily. I just could never see the value. So much negativity, occasional misogyny. Judgemental members.

If we can all support each other and be nice, I might come to see the value in parting with some pesos. I don't want to talk about politics, war, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc. If we can make music together, that's all I care about.

By the way, does this place have a luthiery/guitar repair section?

You’ll like it here. We do a pretty good job of keeping religion and politics out of conversations. That would include your other concerns. We did have extended conversations during the pandemic….. until it started getting political, then usually someone would make mention and reign things in. Mod’s seldom have to get involved here. We self police pretty well.

As for member support. It’s not really that big a deal. Wav put out the message that the hosting service had jacked the pricing and he really didn’t feel he could foot the bill anymore. Probably a dozen or so of us PayPal’d some cash to cover expenses. I think the last time the call went out and I donated has been at least 2 years.
