I owned mine for a time… a Fuchs ODS 50 head and 1x12 cab. An amazing beast, very authentic Dumble clone. I didn’t manage to wring even 5% of its potential from it, and it did not make me sound like Robben Ford. So when I retired, I sold it. I have a little 5-watt hand-made tweed Princeton and a 50 watt Katana. I sound exactly like me through both of them.

Years ago before prices got stupid I scored this 97 JP sig model with all the case candy and a very generous friend gave me a pick guard he had that was signed by Page & Plant when they did those tours.

I have a 1977 Stratocaster that’s beat to hell but is an amazing guitar. I have a 1973 SG that’s in a bit of a state, cosmetically. Also a great guitar. And I have a really cool little amp. So I’m pretty set. But… if there’s one thing, it’d be another amp, maybe around 25 watts. Something Fendery perhaps.

I have nothing “holy grail.” Closest I come is my 50 year old Ovation I bought new. Be a different story if it were a 50 year old Martin. But it is what it is. We do have a 50ish year old Fender Vibro Champ…. 5 screaming watts. Maybe that counts?

I talked about it. Might as well post up a photo. This is what a 50 year old Ovation looks like. Purchased from a mom and pop store in Galesburg Illinois summer of 1974.

I have all of the original hardware. That is a Faber locking bridge. Really tightened things up.

The pickups are ReWind PAF-1-A4. I got them in a gear trade.
