Where do I turn off the emails?

i dont want to receive an email every time theres a new post in a thread I'm watching. Searched but couldn't find it. where do I turn this off?

If I click on my avatar, there's no messages icon, there's not even a top tool bar. :scratch:
 
Well, here’s the thing… I found that Preferences thing straight away, and email notifications was blank, unchecked. It’s turned off, but I still get email.
 
I never get emails ... are you guys trying to tell me something?:cautious:

Also, @iblive I have room for one more cat. I can adopt that kitten, I'm sure my wife wont mind, or maybe she will. But I'll put my foot down and insist on keeping it!

For posterity…next to the PM icon(shabbily encompassed in yellow), you may see your user name and avatar…click/touch it(your avatar), and you will(should) see a drop-down menu. There are many useful things(I’m told) to be found on it. One is the link to user preferences(also shabbily encompassed in yellow).
