I have been looking for specs on this Carvin 412 but can’t find much.
The consensus is they are loaded with Carvin rebranded v30s and the vintage cabs are built rock solid.
There is one for sale in my area and I don’t know if it’s worth the $300 asking.
It looks well taken care of and looks as though it has been covered its entire life.

Maybe one of you have experience with this cab?

I have a old 2 x 12 angled Carvin. Rock solid. It had their version of vintage 30's.
I took them out. That sounds like a deal for any plywood cab.

I'd really never be concerned about standard cabs with the proper speakers. They are essentially all the same. For the price, used, I'd always buy a Marshall though when I need one. That's like 3 times in a lifetime? Lol.

I’d love to get a 1960 412 but I haven’t seen anything decent for under $500-$600 around here. And usually they look like they have been to war.

Yea, a new anything seems pretty expensive these days. This $1500.00+ a cab thing is just too far out there. Some buy an Avatar then throw a Marshall logo on it. I bought one like this used quite a few years ago.

Of course that's a 2x12 though. With Celesion Vintage 30s. I bought it unloaded.

Seems worth it for the drivers alone if they are decent.

From what I’ve read. They seem to get favorable reviews. I haven’t read anything terribly bad about them.
Do you have the option to try it ?
The one thing about them is they use expanded metal for grills. It looks OK but if left uncover they do collect dust.

So after you posted this I started looking around and found a very decently price 1960a 4 x 12 empty for $400
It's in decent shape. If I had a bigger house I would have bought it.
It's about a 4.5 hr. drive one way.
He would ship it for $180. But I was going to pick it up.

After just playing the DSL through the
2 x 12 , I really have no use for that
cabinet.

I have a mid 80's Carvin oversized 412. It is wider, taller and deeper than a Marshall 412. I would give you measurements but it's in storage.

It is the best 412 cabinet I've ever owned. Love it with G12-65 clones. Note, I don't play as heavy as you do.

Hmmmm.

Makes a reptile think. Maybe I should go get it and x pattern my Cerwin Vega clones with the EMI 12A Pro's.

Hmmmmmm..........

Did you get it?
