Not disputing that. Rush did some amazing things… Has always amazed me how three guys in concert can make that much music/sound, all while playing weird keys and time signatures.

But personally, I tend not to get caught up in the G.O.A.T. thing because it’s so subjective. Take LaBron vs Jordan vs Kareem vs Wilt. There’s argument that anyone of the 4 could be considered the greatest…. But they all played at different times. The game today is a different game than when Wilt and Kareem played. So really not fair to compare. And frankly, not sure it’s possible to truly compare.

I like Neil Young….. a lot!! Most likely he is at the top of my greatest/favorite musician pyramid. Does he have the best voice. Not even close. Best guitar playing. Same. Best song writing…. Okay, that one he’s pretty good at. But for this fan, taken as the complete package, he becomes my favorite.

I did see Max Webster open for Rush on Farewell to Kings. They were a different band as I recall.
Triumph , some would argue their integrity above Rush. Not me. Rick is very talented, above average however Rush was one of my desert island must haves.
 
Max Webster was a good band, Kim Mitchell was guitarist and vocals. That band did break up, but Kim Mitchell is still givener, has had a new band for years now, He's still Rockin and is a very good guitar player.
