Easiest remedy for the faceplate is to pull the old one, send it to Sandy, and have her flip the script on a new platebuild. That way you get the holes in exact alignment. If you tell her your measurements, she cuts them precise and should your measurements be off a hair, then you have to pay her again. I own that tee shirt, more than once as I'm a damn slow learner.

Excellent, thanks.
I move slower than grass grows so I will try to get to that eventually.
I am currently going to fix the original cab.
The secondary plan is build a head cab.
At that point I will pull the faceplate.
Right now I stripped the tolex and need to fix the cracks in the cab.
It looks like I need to remove the piping.

Headshell popped up on Reverb:
That is a good price but that is a 40c.
According to Stagecraft the 40CR is different.

My whole problem with buying one is it will cut my perceived deal margin. If I were to spend $300 it would however still not be terrible .

They are going for about $900 to $1000.
Money better spent would be buying HX Stomp of course I have one. Imho.

Biggest problem is there are so many great toys and only so much expendable cash. I would like some more software for recording but is far less tangible than say guitars or amps.

Fast forward at a medium pace. Lol
I got tired of looking at the ugly particle sheit . So I bought some pine.
Pine box , both the DSL and I will reside in one. Lol
I cut 3 pieces so far.
I will use the same method they used on the corners , no box joints.

I tried to get a 3/4 round over bit but there wasn't one available.
I hope the 1/2" will do.
I also hope the pine can keep it's shape and not warp over time.

I am keeping it a combo since the tolex should be enough to cover it.
The head conversion would be cool but because of where it was broken it was junk.
It kind of fell apart after removing the tolex .

One side was broken but I had to dismantle the broken inside 1" x 1"
That kind of caused the corner on the other side to crack.

Looks pretty good on my 1960AX vintage 4x12 Marshall cab (packed with 4 Celestion Greenback speakers) with the two Satriani signature Marshall heads on top of it as well.

Also pretty good on my JVM112C 50w Marshall Combo.

Interesting question. No, I actually don't. I sold that combo within a few week of having it. I don't like the standard JVM head either in any form except the Satriani version. It's voiced completely different and more models the '90s 6100 30th Anniversary amp.
