I can understand that....but I have a lot of respect for both Phil and Vivian because I have walked in those shoes. Not with a band as HUGE as Def Leppard, but with local bands who had a large following and being put in the position to take over for a show or two, sometimes didn't sit very well with the hardcore fans....

I once flew with my wife out to Vegas to see Celine Dion, her favorite artist. When we arrived at the show, the agent was informing ticket holders that Celine cancelled the show due to laryngitis. Major disappointment. Silver lining was that we went to see Dwight Yoakam instead, and it was a great performance.
