Getting old is not for the faint of heart for sure. But the option is less appealing.

Well, been dragging everything i have for bass into LR & seeing if i can assemble a rig
First time ever, believe am going bass ampless. 2 things worked very good
1) Sovtek MIG 50- killer bass amp but like it too much to beat on it
3) have various cabs & PA gear. That Tech 21 psa DI has all that Sansamp bass DI goodies in it & it sounds incredible into board
Since its downtune, tube response is not really needed for any sag or color. Just need low-mean & clear.
My key has been an EQ pedal & RC Booster set to adress the low so it stays tight & clear.
Bass= just play & not so much to worry about lol
A real key might be what i learned from, recording..put one of my preamps have & dont use recording. Like the VTB 1 tube pre amp

technically, this will suffice for gigs & actually is very clear & deep. Can run each cab with separately with the amp or together.
Sorry to hear that. They are part of the family and leave a large hole behind.
I like my dogs more than I like most people so can understand the hurt.

Today I finally got to see a Dr for my hands.
about 4 weeks ago I woke up one morning with both thumbs completely frozen up solid, hurting, clicking. Miserable.
I did some research and self diagnosed myself with what appears to be "trigger thumb" same as trigger finger, but obviously in your thumbs.
I tried stretching, heat, cold, topical voltaren , topical lidocaine, you name it. Nothing helped whatsoever. And I gave up drinking 4 years ago so....
Ortho Dr concurred that's what I seemed to be suffering from and told me my treatment options were: 1. all of the things I'd already tried, 2. steroid injections, or 3. Surgery, which is similar to carpal tunnel surgery.
Basically think of tendons like fishing line thru eyelets.... Once they become inflamed it's like having knots in your line, they work but catch and swell and cause even more inflammation.
I told him I'm not afraid of surgery, as I've had a dozen or more already to fix this body I've destroyed, but let's try the shots first.
So today he stuck needles into both thumb joints and filled them up with a steroid.
I managed to get video of the second one.
I will tell you that it hurt pretty good!
not as bad as my synvisc injections into my knee, but similar. Lots of harsh Pressure!
Anyhow. We'll see how long until I can get back to playing the Brootz ha ha!

Thanks guys, everything seems ok now, the doctor thinks it was just a bad virus.
